Sea Freight
More than 5,000 years ago, the maritime transport industry was born by the pioneers Columbus, Diaz and Magellan. They were the founders of the maritime transport industry, because they opened up sea routes across the continents at that time and were the premise for the industry to develop as it is today.
Benefits of sea freight services
We can easily see that shipping goods by sea has helped the global economy develop, contributing to promoting trade between countries and continents more easily. That is the reason why many people, many establishments or trading units use this form of transportation to trade from general goods, dangerous goods to military equipment.
Sea freight liability
Depending on the agreement in the foreign trade contract, regarding the delivery terms (based on Incoterms 2010), will the Customer be responsible for shipping goods by sea (booking a ship) or not? Specifically, the buyer is responsible for shipping by sea when the delivery terms are CNF (or CFR), CIF (the seller is responsible for purchasing additional insurance); otherwise, if it is FAS or FOB, the buyer is responsible for shipping by sea.
These are the four most basic terms in Incoterms; in addition to other terms, corresponding to the delivery terms, KQ TRADING will advise and provide sea transport services from port to port (CY to CY), transport from seller’s warehouse to buyer’s port (Door to CY) or vice versa; from seller’s warehouse to buyer’s warehouse (Door to Door) or vice versa.
Depending on the volume of goods, geographical distance, and route, we plan the appropriate form of sea transport to advise customers for each specific shipment. When the goods have a small weight, from a few hundred kilograms to a few tons, KQ TRADING provides sea freight services (LCL); with larger volumes, full container load (FCL) sea freight services are available, including 20′, 40′, 45′ containers; and when the shipment is from a few hundred tons to thousands of tons, the bulk cargo (bulk cargo) sea freight service will meet your needs.
